Ramps

IMG_0677.JPG

Field Experience #4: Ramps will be a foraging adventure in the Wisconsin forest. The event will take place at a secret location that has an abundance of ephemeral spring ramps.

Artist and educator Michael Legan will teach us how to identify and sustainably harvest wild ramps. We’ll spend time discovering and collecting them - you can even take some home for cooking experiments and for sharing with friends.

Then our harvest will be transformed into a communal meal of traditional Alsatian flammkuchen, made in a special oven built by Michael and his brother. Stay and spend the afternoon with people making flammkuchen and exploring the land. We’ll have a creative activity for everyone or you can wander, meditate by the creek, take field recordings, document the maple syrup farm, take a sensory walk in the woods...

This event is free and limited to 25 paricipants (SOLD OUT)
