Field Experience #8, led by textile artist Maddy Bartsch, will be an exploration of colors in our local ecosystem. We will forage for wild plants that work well for dyeing and printing. Then Maddy will teach us two different dyeing techniques: eco-printing (pictured here) and solar vat. Everyone who participates will go home with at least one dyed textile, and the tools and instructions for a simple at home dyeing project using the solar vat technique. We will supply everything, but you can feel free to bring plants from your garden to expand your color options.

The event will be at Assembly which is located on the Greenway where we will be foraging. More details will be emailed to you about a week before the event.

This event is free and limited to 12 people. (SOLD OUT)
